FOOD WASTE DISPOSERS MAKE LIFE MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY!

In the field of garbage disposal, the disposal of food waste has always been a problem. Food waste not only has a high water content but also has a high content of oil, salt and organic matters. It is portable and tends to cause germs. It also rots quickly.

Almost all kinds of traditional garbage disposal methods are not suitable for processing food waste. Landfill is prone to leakage of leachate and biogas and causes unplesant odors. As food waste has a high water content, it is not suitable for incineration. Composting takes a long time and the salt in food waste is difficult to degrade, which causes soil salinization. Direct drying to turn food waste into animal feed cannot achieve protein denaturation and there exists a potential danger of homology which is the direct cause of bovine spongiform encephalopathy and scrapie.

Regarding environmental hygiene and property management, food waste disposers can improve the environmental hygiene, effectively reduce waste level, reduce secondary pollution in the process of waste collection and transportation, and reduce the difficulty and cost of waste collection and transportation.

Regarding water pipe systems and resource recyclying, food waste disposers can quickly and effectively relieve the trouble of sewer blockage, increase the recycling rate by reducing the pollution of recyclable materials due to food waste, and improve the processing conditions of landfills and incineration plants so that the discharge of pollutants such as leachate, biogas and flue gas are reduced.

Some people may worry that this kind of treatment brings new kind of pollution. However, according to the pilot experiment data from Tongji University which monitored and followed up on the experiment for several months, household electricity and water consumption only increased slightly and the pipelines are not blocked while the amount of waste generated in the entire community was greatly reduced. This may be one of the important reasons why many cities propose to reduce waste. This reduction of waste may not bring new kind of pollution but rather reduce environmental pollution caused by transportation, landfilling and high-humidity waste burning in traditional waste treatment process.
